The Hyatt Gold Passport program offers two elite membership tiers - Platinum and Diamond.
1. To receive credit toward Hyatt Gold Passport tier status, a member must pay an Eligible Rate for at least one night of their stay. A stay is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at one property. Back-to-back stays within a 24-hour period at a single Hyatt are considered one stay. A member will not receive Hyatt Gold Passport credit toward tier status or toward any promotion for the nights the member pays an Ineligible Rate.
2. Platinum and Diamond Bed Type Guarantee
Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum and Diamond members will be guaranteed the bed type (i.e., king, queen, double, etc.) for the room type selected at the time of reservation. The bed type guarantee is available at participating Hyatt properties worldwide. Not valid at Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts. If the hotel is unable to honor the bed type at check-in, members will receive 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and 2,500 bonus points at Hyatt Place and Hyatt Summerfield Suites per stay. The bed type guarantee does not apply to room upgrades. In order to qualify for the guarantee, the member's Hyatt Gold Passport number and bed type preference must be included on the reservation. Reservations made through meeting planners, travel agents and wholesalers must include this information in order to be included in the guarantee. The guarantee is not valid on reservations booked through third-party websites such as, but not limited to, Expedia, Priceline and Hotels.com. Platinum and Diamond members who make a reservation on the same day he/she plans to arrive at the hotel or who walks into a hotel without a reservation is not eligible to receive the guarantee. Guarantee only applies to the member's room regardless of the number of rooms for which the member pays. If a member believes that compensation is due with respect to the bed type guarantee, he/she must request payment of the compensation while still a guest at the hotel, prior to checking out. Failure to request such payment prior to checkout will result in a complete waiver of any right to receive such compensation. Limited bed types may be available during certain high-demand periods or special events. Bed type guarantees do not apply to Hyatt Grand Bed™ availability. Hyatt Grand Bed availability may vary by property.
3. Daily complimentary internet access will be provided during a paid or an award stay. Internet may be wired or wireless and varies by property.
4. A complimentary newspaper, determined by the hotel, will be delivered to Platinum and Diamond member's room daily. Not valid at Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts.
Platinum Membership
1. Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum membership will be given to Hyatt Gold Passport members who, in the course of one calendar year (January-December), record a minimum of five Hyatt stays or 15 Hyatt nights for which member pays an Eligible Rate and provides a valid Hyatt Gold Passport number at time of reservation or check-in. Members will not receive credit toward tier status or promotions for nights when Ineligible Rates are paid. Stays for which Travel Partner miles are chosen instead of Hyatt Gold Passport points will count toward Platinum membership qualification when member pays an Eligible Rate and provides a valid Hyatt Gold Passport number at time of reservation or check-in. Member must requalify each year for Platinum membership. Qualification is based on a calendar year, January through December. Effective June 01, 2009 stays and nights completed at Hyatt Vacation Club will be credited toward earning Platinum membership. When member is paying for more than one room, only the room in which the member stays will count toward Platinum membership.
2. Platinum members will receive a 15% point bonus on the Hyatt Gold Passport base points earned on an Eligible Rate and Eligible Incidental Charges spent during each Hyatt stay.
3. Platinum members will be offered the best available room, within the room category booked, at time of check-in. Best available rooms are defined by each property and include rooms on higher floors, corner rooms, or rooms with preferred views.
4. Platinum members will be guaranteed a room at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for their own personal use when a Hyatt paid reservation is made at least 72 hours prior to arrival based on local hotel time and guaranteed with a valid credit card. All reservations are subject to hotel guarantee and cancellation policies. This guarantee is valid for one standard guest room and is subject to the hotel's Hyatt Daily Rate and individual hotel reservation requirements, such as length of stay, special packages and meal plans. This guarantee is not valid at Hyatt Resorts.
5. After every third stay at Hyatt in a calendar year, Platinum members will receive a Platinum Extras Award with various hotel offers. The complete Terms and Conditions of the offers are provided with each Platinum Extras Award.
6. Platinum members staying at Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts are only eligible for the following benefit(s) detailed above: 15% point bonus on the Hyatt Gold Passport base points earned.
Diamond Membership
1. Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond membership will be given to Hyatt Gold Passport members who, in the course of one calendar year (January-December), record a minimum of 25 Hyatt stays or 50 Hyatt nights for which member pays an Eligible Rate and provides a valid Hyatt Gold Passport number at time of reservation or check-in. Members will not receive credit toward tier status or promotions for nights when Ineligible Rates are paid. Stays for which Travel Partner miles are chosen instead of Hyatt Gold Passport points will count toward Diamond membership qualification when member pays an Eligible Rate and provides a valid Hyatt Gold Passport number at time of reservation or check-in. Member must requalify each year for Diamond membership. Qualification is based on a calendar year, January through December. Effective June 01, 2009 stays and nights completed at Hyatt Vacation Club will be credited toward earning Diamond membership. When member is paying for more than one room, only the room in which the member stays will count toward Diamond membership.
2. Diamond members will receive a 30% point bonus on the Hyatt Gold Passport base points earned on an Eligible Rate and Eligible Incidental Charges spent during each Hyatt stay.
3. Diamond members will receive the best available room, including Regency Club or Grand Club rooms at the time of check-in at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.
4. Diamond members will receive access to the Regency Club or Grand Club lounge in hotels that have the lounge. During periods of high demand, access to the Regency Club or Grand Club lounge may not be available; therefore Diamond members will receive 2500 bonus points plus daily complimentary full breakfast for each registered guest in the room, maximum four (4) people. Bonus points will not be given at the Grand Hyatt New York.
5. In Hyatt hotels that do not have a Regency Club or Grand Club lounge, daily complimentary full breakfast will be provided to the member and each guest registered in the room, maximum four (4) people. For stays at Hyatt Regency Bethesda, daily continental breakfast will be provided to the member and each guest registered in the room, maximum four (4) people. Benefit not valid at Hyatt Place or Hyatt Summerfield Suites.
6. Diamond members will be guaranteed a room at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for their own personal use when a Hyatt paid reservation is made at least 48 hours prior to arrival based on local hotel time and guaranteed with a valid credit card. All reservations are subject to hotel guarantee and cancellation policies. This guarantee is valid for one standard guest room and is subject to the hotel's Hyatt Daily Rate and individual hotel reservation requirements, such as length of stay, special packages and meal plans. This guarantee is not valid at Hyatt Resorts.
7. Diamond members will receive a complimentary welcome amenity consisting of the following: at Hyatt properties in the U.S., Canada and Caribbean; a choice of 1,000 bonus points or Food and Beverage option; at Hyatt properties outside of North America and Andaz hotels a Food and Beverage amenity will be provided; at Hyatt Place and Hyatt Summerfield Suites a choice of 500 bonus points or Food and Beverage amenity; at Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts 500 bonus points will be automatically be awarded.
8. Diamond members will be issued four (4) suite upgrade awards, in their account, annually, defined as March 1st of the current year through the last day of February of the following year, Awards can be tracked through "My Promotional Awards" on goldpassport.com. A complimentary suite upgrade is valid on paid nights, for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights, at participating Hyatt hotels where suite accommodations are available. Suite upgrade awards must be redeemed at time of reservation. Member must call 800.400.2261 or their nearest worldwide reservation center to redeem upgrade award. Upgrade not available at Hyatt Place, Hyatt Summerfield Suites or Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts. Guest must pay an eligible rate. For purposes of this award, a suite provides for one-bedroom accommodations. Suite upgrade award is not valid toward Specialty, Premier, Presidential or Diplomatic Suites. Award is not transferable, negotiable or redeemable for cash or other substitutions. Credit will not be issued for unused upgrade awards. Guest is responsible for all charges exclusive of awards. There are limited numbers of suites available at each property.
9. Diamond members staying at Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts are only eligible for the following benefit(s) detailed above: 30% point bonus on the Hyatt Gold Passport base points earned, complimentary welcome amenity of 500 bonus points on every stay.
